Creative writing students take a summer break from tuition, in Wensleydale
Everything about creating better writers
Gravity principal Stan Abbott runs a variety of creative writing groups, both online and in regular or one-off workshops, often though the auspices of other educational organisations.
Group participants may go on to agree personal development programmes with the aim of helping students to refine their work with a view to publication.
Everything about writing
Stan Abbott’s career began as an award-winning journalist on provincial and national newspapers. He has written widely on both serious political and business topics, the environment and travel.
He is also a published author of both fiction and non-fiction, whose works are available in all good bookshops and online via Amazon and other retailers.
Everything about travel and tourism
Gravity offers a highly creative and innovative approach to destination marketing. Through our travel PR and integrated marketing, we take places to people so those people will then visit places.
Gravity’s extensive experience of working with the airline industry – including Stan Abbott’s in-house airline experience – means we can also offer a variety of consultancy support services to assist airlines in route analysis and strategic development.
Everything about talking business
Gravity’s B2B clients are prominent players in sectors including food and drink, energy, finance and security.
We also work with businesses, particularly SMEs, on business planning and strategic development, particularly in the export sector. Stan Abbott is an accredited Virtual Export Manager, with particular expertise and experience in the Nordic countries, French speaking markets and Canada.
Everything about print and publishing
Stan and the Gravity team boast many years of experience in publishing and print-buying. Stan ran a highly respected publishing company in the Yorkshire Dales for some years and, more recently, he has specialised in publishing airline customer magazines.
He created two magazines for regional airline, Gill Airways and later, for Eastern Airways, one of the UK’s few remaining independent airlines. This magazine was launched in 2002 and was published quarterly until 2018, when the airline became a franchisee of Flybe.
